Move Your Mood

There are many ways that you can 'Move Your Mood' at the University of Exeter.

As a student, you could play a competitive sport as a part of one of our 52 different clubs, or you could be a part of a participation event. We have Social Sport Leagues, one-off mass participation events throughout the year or bespoke programmes designed in accordance with student demand.

We now have staff and student-only inclusive courses like 'Basics to Barbells, Self-Defence and Nordic Walking.

You could try Ultimate Frisbee, or Wheelchair Basketball, or Yoga in one of our many green spaces.

The most important thing, is we listen to you.

This is a great opportunity to not only improve your health but also optimise well-being by taking a break from studies, interacting with other students and being physically active.

Overview:
Hybrid Foundations is designed for individuals who have a base level of fitness knowledge but have taken a break from high-intensity activity—whether due to postpartum recovery, injury, or other life events. This programme offers a gentle, structured re-introduction to a hybrid style of fitness training, focusing on building strength, endurance, and confidence.

Over the course of the programme, you’ll work through bodyweight exercises, functional fitness movements, resistance training, and cardiovascular activities. The sessions are carefully crafted to be challenging yet manageable, helping you regain fitness without the pressure of high-intensity classes like Hyrox.
