University of Exeter Staff Beginners' Golf Programme

Golf for Beginners Course for Univeristy of Exeter Staff
If you are a complete beginner or have only played a little and want to start with the basics, our five-week beginners course is a great way to start.
Our course includes:
- A one hour weekly lesson 12:30 - 13:30 for five weeks
- Coaching from our experienced PGA Qualified and UKCC Level 3 Coach
- Learning the basics of golf rules and etiquette, as well as the different stroke selections.
Sessions will take place on Streatham Campus at the Vic Ambler Golf Centre (a short game practice area next to The Sports Park building) and at Clifton Hill Golf Driving Range.
Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear (ideally trainers).
Equipment will be provided.
Head of Golf
Harry Scott oversees the golf programme at Exeter and has a strong background in coaching aspiring golfers in the performance pathway. He holds a BA(Hons) Golf Management degree from the University of Birmingham and PgDip in Sports Coaching. He is a class AA PGA Professional and a UKCC level 3 coach. Previously Harry has worked as a golf coach at St Andrews Links as well as development coach for the Scottish Golf Union. Alongside the role at Exeter he also works for England Golf as a regional coach to the under 16s and under 18s girls squad.
