This is the session to join on the gym floor, programmed twice a week after the lunchtime WODS (you’ll want the recovery time). Challenge that midline!|
|Adult Swim Fit||Adult Swim Fit is a half hour session for competent swimmers looking to improve their fitness. It's a fun and effective way to get the results you want, and because water is 800 times denser than air you are most likely to get there a lot quicker than any other workout!|
|Aqua Fit||Aqua Fit is an energetic and fun water-based fitness class in which you perform a variety of movements to music, following our motivational instructors. The class is suitable for all ages and abilities who seek a low to medium intensity aerobic workout at St Luke's Indoor Pool.|
|Ballet Fit||Pound for pound Ballet dancers are amongst the world’s strongest athletes! In this class you will shape and tone postural muscles, build core strength and lift your mood along with it. Incorporating a ballet barre and using classic dance moves such as plies, arabesques and saute along with a strength bias that will set your body up for all manner of future accomplishment.|
|Blast||Blast your body into shape in this low-impact, high-energy workout. Blast will burn calories, sculpt and tone your entire body all to the sound of the beat, meaning that you'll feel leaner, meaner and stronger!|
|BodyAttack™||BodyAttack™ is a high-energy fitness class with moves that cater for total beginners to total addicts. We combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats.|
|BodyBalance™||In a BodyBalance™ class, you can expect to complete a range of moves and routines set to an inspired soundtrack. By monitoring your breathing throughout the class, you will be able to mentally and physically relax as you complete the movements. The carefully structured series of poses will improve your flexibility and core strength, whilst focusing your mind and creating a lasting sense of calm and wellbeing.|
|BodyCombat™||Combining powerful moves from a range of self-defence disciplines including Karate, Boxing, Taekwondo and Muay Thai – Les Mills BodyCombat™ is a non-contact workout that will leave you ready to take on the world. The class provides all the benefits of an intense cardio workout, whilst also improving core-strength, coordination, balance and agility.|
|BodyPump™||Les Mills BodyPump™ is a non-impact weights-based exercise class that works every major muscle group in the body, using weights, a bar and steps. High repetition with low weights means you strengthen, condition and tone your muscles quickly, so you’ll notice a real difference after just a few weeks.|
|BollyX||A Bollywood-inspired dance-fitness program that combines dynamic choreography with the hottest music from around the World. Its 50-minute cardio workout cycles between higher and lower-intensity dance sequences to get you moving, sweating, and smiling|
|Box||A boxing based circuit’s class with interval stations of weights, cardio and pad work.|
|Boxercise||A high intensity exercise class based on the training concepts boxers use to keep fit. Classes can take a variety of formats but a typical one may involve shadow-boxing, skipping, hitting pads, plus using mitts and focus pads to sync boxing sequences. Oh and of course and healthy dose of bodyweight exercises to spice it up too! Oh nobody gets hit here but you do bring about all the conditioning benefits this training can give.|
|Circuits||A typical Circuits session may include: Squats, Burpees, Press-ups, Sit-ups, Shuttles, Plank, VIPR's, Crawls and more. The class allows you to work at your own pace, whilst our instructor is on-hand to provide that extra bit of motivation to ensure you work to the best of your abilities.
Low Impact Circuits
Our Low Impact Circuits classes involve all-round, low-impact training that is friendly on your joints. Using a combination of light strength training and conditioning, you will work at your own pace and be in complete control of your own fitness goals.
|Conditioning||A full body workout utilising resistance which will shape and tone. The perfect workout for sculpting the body.|
|CX Worx™||A stronger core makes you better at all things you do, from everyday life to your favourite sports - it’s the glue that holds everything together. Trained instructors guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches, and hovers. You will also get into some hip, bum and lower back exercises.|
Created, Choreographed and delivered by Connie, this class incorporate all genres of dance from hip hop to Latin and jazz to bring a high energy, fun loving routine that can only leave you smiling your way through the rest of the day. Always good to know that you are burning a bucket load of calories at the same time!
|Extreme Metcon xxx||
A metabolic conditioning session designed to bring the very best out of yourself in a group fitness environment. The very nature of it is such that it can (and should) only be programmed twice a week. If you bring your A game to both the Monday and Thursday sessions and give ample time for recovery in-between you will see improvements in strength, speed, power and endurance. Not a bad trade off for 90 minutes total work across two sessions
A great supplement to your Sports training when utilised in conjunction with the guidance from your Coaches. The fundamentals of the Extreme Metcon utilise movement patterns relevant to all field sports and mono-structural activities such as running/ rowing/ swimming etc. Used in the correct way the session can support your endeavours on the field.
|Float Fit||The Float Fit class is a 30 minute HIIT workout including burpees, lunges, squats, aquaclimbers, v-sits…. all on water! This low impact, cross training class gives you a fun full body workout. The class will help to strengthen your aerobic stamina, tone and condition your whole body and improve muscular endurance.|
|GRIT™||LES MILLS GRIT™ is 30-minute’s of high intensity interval training (HIIT), developed by experts to deliver transformative results. Mixing underground beats with athlete-inspired exercises to create three unique programs – Strength, Plyo and Cardio.|
|KB Blitz||Work to the max with this all over body workout! The class features kettlebell training with a mixture of cardio intervals.|
|LBT||LBT is a high intensity workout, designed to shape up and burn fat as you lunge, squat and step. Including an aerobic warm up, HIIT and conditioning exercises, LBT is the perfect mix to target the thigh, bum and stomach areas.|
|Pilates||Core strength and flexibility are the major themes of Pilates, as you use light weights and stretching techniques to encourage good posture, greater balance and better mobility.|
|Ride||Ride works the legs, heart and lungs - increasing endurance levels and pushing your performance thresholds. Motivational music and coach by colour helps you climb the mountain as you rise out of the saddle for the ultimate cardio workout.|
|Shape 'N' Shred||45 minutes of high intensity workout. This class is designed to sculpt and condition your body. Shape 'N' Shred will push you to your limits before your day has even begun!|

Stretch and Roll
A drop in session immediately following 3 of the lunchtime WODS. This is an instructor led session on the gym floor. Taking you through foam rolling, mobility and movement designed to open up your pathway to recovery between sessions.
|STRONG by Zumba||
Stop counting the reps. Start training to the beat. STRONG by Zumba® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more. In each class you'll burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs and glutes. Plyometric or explosive moves like high knees, burpees, and jumping jacks are interchanged with moves like lunges, squats, and kickboxing. STRONG by Zumba® instructors change up the music and moves frequently to make sure you’re always challenged to the max.
|Synrgy||Fast and furious, Synrgy provides a full throttle fitness blast. Every session is unique and all this in half an hour makes it the ultimate lunch time break or early morning wakeup call. Please note: Synrgy classes take place in the Russell Seal Fitness Centre's upper gym space. You must be a member to gain access to this class. These classes contain flashing lights.|
Workouts of the Day (WODS)
|Working all the way through Monday to Sunday, the programmed ‘workouts of the day’ bring 30 minute action packed classes to your time crunched days. Performed on the gym floor with your resident gym staff the rotation will ensure you can utilise this style of training to your advantage with all your energy systems challenged via our mixed modal training. Mon, Wed and Fridays will have a metabolic conditioning bias with Tuesdays and Thursdays challenging your strength spectrum. On the weekends we would love you to spend time outdoors with family and friends but if you do have a spare half hour then Saturdays WOD is great thing to do with friends prior to brunch and the Sunday evening WOD is all about the engine – capacity work at its best and a great chance to clear the pipes before the week starts.|
|Yoga||Yoga will build up core strength as well as improving your posture, flexibility and confidence. Much more than just an exercise technique, Yoga cleanses the mind as well as strengthening the body.|
|Zumba||Zumba combines Latin and international music with fun and effective exercise. It involves all elements of fitness, cardiovascular, muscle condition, balance and flexibility. Join the Zumba party!|
