Adult tennis
Exeter Tennis Centre runs a comprehensive adult coaching programme throughout the year. Our expert coaches can help adults of all abilities through various group sessions. We also run a variety of pay and play sessions to help you get on court and meet other players.

Beginners
This course is for players new to the game of tennis, with little to no pre-existing experience. Players will be taught the fundamental skills of the game (eg: serving, returning, rallying and net play), with a focus on the tactical & technical aspects of each stroke.
2023 Courses:
Monday 15th May - Monday 26th June (no session May half term 29th May – 2nd June)
Time: Mondays from 18:00-19:30
Cost per term: 6 weeks for £60

Improvers
This course is for players with some pre-existing tennis experience (eg: able to rally consistently & carry out basic tennis skills such as serving and returning), that are looking to develop their game to the next level. Players will be taught fundamental aspects of the game (eg: serving, returning, rallying and net play), and provided with technical & tactical support
This course IS NOT suitable for players with no existing tennis experience.

Thursday 18th May - Thursday 29th June (no session May half term 29th May – 2nd June)
Time: Thursdays from 19:30-21:00

Performance
For experienced club players that are familiar with the tactical & technical aspects of the game, and who enjoy testing their skills within a competitive environment. Sessions will consist of tactical drills & match-play.
This course IS NOT suitable for players with no existing tennis experience.

Club Night
A popular session for players seeking a social tennis experience, within a friendly and inclusive environment.
Players must have some pre-existing tennis experience to take part in this session (eg: able to rally consistently & carry out basic skills such as serving and returning).
This pay-as-you-go session IS NOT suitable for players with no existing tennis experience.

Pay & Play
A popular doubles session for players with some pre-existing tennis experience. Sessions consist of friendly doubles match-play that is overseen and supported by a member of the coaching team.
This course IS NOT suitable for players with no existing tennis experience.
NOTE - Coffee will not be provided by the tennis centre following the session. Players are welcome to bring their coffee to enjoy within one of our communal areas. Alternatively, takeaway coffee can be purchased within the university forum building.
