Chris Belcher

Gym Shift Supervisor

With 10 years experience in the fitness industry Chris is perfectly placed to provide support to gym users at every level. A Level 4 Diabetes and Obesity specialist and Level 3 Nutrition and Weight Management expert, Chris is also able to assist and advise those with specialist medical requirements on how best to lead a fuller, healthier lifestyle.

Chris leads by example, encouraging a friendly and welcoming atmosphere throughout the Russell Seal Fitness Centre where every client can feel confident and motivated to reach their fitness targets.

Camilla Heath

Gym Shift Supervisor

Hi I'm Camilla I'm passionate about being healthy and creating fitness regimes that fit into your busy schedule. I exercise for energy and think it is important to have fitness goals to work towards but to also ensure that exercise is a fun, healthy fixture in your day to day life.

I enjoy the opportunity of building strong relationships with all new clients and I like helping people find long term enjoyment of exercise whilst improving their health, mobility, fitness and body confidence.

I am a qualified personal trainer but also teach circuits, spinning and kettlebells. I am happy to provide training programmes and general advice so if you are new to the gym and looking for guidance or you would like a new programme to progress your training I would be happy to provide support for an extensive range of fitness goals, whether you are already a fitness fanatic or are just starting out in the gym.

William Maisey

Fitness Consultant (Group trainer)

Having completed personal training qualification with the Austrailian Institute of Fitness whilst studying in Sydney, I bring a highly regarded international qualification to the team. Combining this with the knowledge and skills learned as a Sport and Exercise Scientist at Exeter, I am able to assist in both athletic development as well as teach 'every-day' fitness.

I enjoy working with clients and I am happy to help with anything from minor technical corrections to delivering a complete lifestyle management training programme.

Katie Rogers

Fitness Advisor

Hi my name is Katie and I am very passionate about maintaining a balanced life through regular training and correct nutrition. This led me to study a degree in BSc Biomedicine and Nutrition. Being a highly active individual I decided to complete a personal training course to enable me to lead an active lifestyle. I have competitively competed in netball, tennis and swimming but also enjoy a variety of classes including spinning, HIIT, yoga and weight training.

 I specialise in weight loss and definition training and hold a good breadth of knowledge in nutrition. I am a qualified studio cycling Instructor and also enjoy taking circuits. I believe that participation in physical activity is necessary in today's hectic society, as well as for enjoyment and maintaining good fitness levels.

Nial Cooper

Fitness Advisor

Hi my name is Nial, as a qualified sports therapist my area of speciality lies within sports injuries and rehabilitation. I am able to provide assessments, treatments and rehabilitation programmes for all sports injuries from within the Russell Seale Fitness Centre.

My previous experience involves working in a sports injury clinic, working pitch side for numerous amateur sports teams and a season long work placement with Exeter Chiefs RFC.

I am also a level 3 qualified personal trainer and therefore have knowledge and experience of all types of training which I can apply to help individuals to achieve their own fitness goals.

You'll find me on the gym floor so feel free to stop me and ask any questions you may have.

Leah Clarke

Fitness Advisor

As a graduate Sports Therapist, I specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of sport injuries. I have a particular interest in the lower limb injuries and spinal biomechanics. I am a published researcher of spine biomechanics and injury risk and believe strongly that sport performance can be enhanced through the application of sports therapy and Sports Rehabilitation techniques.

Whether you have suffered a sport, lifestyle or work related injury, I would be extremely happy to assist you in your recovery and return to an optimised lifestyle.

I have had extreme success working with a variety of clientele, from individuals such as the 'weekend warrior' to international and Olympic level athletes. Furthermore, I also work as a Sports Therapist and Rehabilitator for Exeter Chiefs and have seen huge rewards through this.

I am a qualified British Weightlifting coach and particularly enjoy teaching weight training to women; if this is something you are interested in, please do come and say hello and I will be more than happy to help.

Ben Harnell

Fitness Advisor

A graduate in Strength and Conditioning,  I have experience training athletes from a wide variety of ages and athletic backgrounds including basketball, weight lifting and body building. As a competitive weightlifter and BWLA Level 1 coach, my specialty lies within coaching Olympic-style weightlifting to aspiring weightlifters, cross-fitters and athletes of all sports.

Hello, I'm Xander. I'm currently studying as an undergraduate Sports Science student here at UoE, I am happy to help with any heath and fitness queries you may have. I have many years' experience in a number of sports and types of fitness, especially rugby.

My main interest in health and fitness is weight management through diet and exercise and I have chosen many of my University modules around this passion.
