Ruan Louw

After achieving Level 2 accreditation from Western Province cricket in South Africa, Ruan moved to the UK in 2001. In his time here he has worked with Hertfordshire, Middlesex and Yorkshire in various coaching roles within both the men's and women's game as well as serving as Director of Cricket at various clubs. Ruan has assisted and lead on the MCC performance hubs and has vast experience in directing academies and coaching pathways.

More recently he has been Coaching Director at Nelson Cricket in New Zealand and spent time working with the Central Stags as well as assisting with the Pakistan national side in their preparations. 

He has a wealth of experience coaching and developing players of all abilities and has also worked with Yorkshire CCC Men's XI and Yorkshire Diamonds. Ruan is an ECB Level 4 Master coach and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Elite cricket.

As Head of Cricket, Ruan is the mens 1st XI head coach and oversees all the other teams preparations and development programmes with Jack Bradbury.

Cricket Programmes Officer

Jack Bradbury

Jack's been playing cricket for as long as he can remember, joining Ashbrittle Cricket Club aged eight. Since then he has fine-tuned his skill-set to become an effective medium paced bowler. During his time at Cardiff Metropolitan University, Jack helped the first team to British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) indoor title in 2012, and was runner up in 2013.

Jack's role includes:

  • Overseeing the coaching programme of the University men's 2nd, 3rd and 4th teams
  • Women's 1st team Coach
  • Running Exeter College academy programmes
  • Running all one-to-one coaching programmes
  • Organising all junior coaching programmes, including holiday courses
  • Organising all corporate cricket activities
  • Lead Coach on MCC Hub and other coaching programmes
