Operations Assistant

Campus Infrastructure and Operational Support Services - Sport Summary

Over the coming months, the University of Exeter Sports Office will be recruiting enthusiastic sport-minded professionals to join our team as Operational Assistants. We have a range of fantastic permanent and fixed term opportunities to join the team for the summer season and beyond. 

These positions will include working at some of the Sports Office’s three sites: St Lukes Sports Centre, Sports Park (Streatham Campus) and Cornwall House Swimming Pool. Therefore an NPLQ and/or Level 2 Gym qualification would be desirable (but not essential) for this role. 

Working as part of a team you will be responsible for the efficient, safe operation of the three sites and for delivering high standards of service across all facilities. This will include lifeguarding (where qualified), set ups and take downs of all equipment, supervising the gyms and maintaining cleanliness of all facilities. 

Experience of working in a similar environment and dealing with a varied cross-section of customers is desirable along with an awareness of health and safety issues. 

A proactive approach, an eye for detail and a team-minded attitude with a desire to succeed is of equal importance.

About you 

We are looking for people who can work effectively within busy environment, both in a team and under your own initiative. You will have some experience of working within a customer service environment and be able to work effectively within a pressurised environment.

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Are you passionate about University Sport and student athletes? Are you a UKSCA accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach? Do you want to help us drive forwards the University of Exeter Performance Sport Programme?

We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join our team. As a TASS delivery site and Dual Career Accredited Centre, regularly finishing in the BUCS top 5 and supporting upwards of 50 international level student athletes annually; Exeter has invested significantly into it’s sporting programmes.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will deliver S&C to a wide range of sports and individual athletes specific to the University’s Performance Sport Programme, Sports Scholarship Scheme and Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS). We are looking for a forward thinking individual to help us develop talented student athletes, working with our sports specific coaches and support staff to drive forward performance sport at the University.
